About Budgens

Budgens shops are locally owned and run by individual retailers who care about the quality, provenance and value of their food and the needs of their community.

With the acquisition of Budgens of Holt this policy was developed further to a stage where after 2 years of running the supermarket we were spending £0.5 million with local suppliers – everything from fruit and vegetables to meat, fish, yoghurt, even locally laid quails eggs.   This support for local suppliers is growing continually.

All-in-all we provide a superior local store, which employs local people, selling local produce, supporting local suppliers which keeps the money circulating locally rather than being spent elsewhere.
