A classic vintage from Mellasat that remained in French barrels for 18 months giving the wine a lovely rich balance between dark berried fruits and mature oak. Winner of a silver medal at the South African Veritas Awards, this is a serious wine for the future.

Mellasat vineyard was created by the Richardson family in 1996 from a Victorian homestead. The investment and modernisation of winemaker Stephen Richardson has already paid off with a number of award winning wines.
