Mellasat vineyard was created by the Richardson family in 1996 from a Victorian homestead. The investment and modernisation of winemaker Stephen Richardson has already paid off with a number of award winning wines.
A full bodied Mellasat Shiraz wine made from a cultivar ideally suited to the Paarl region. A spicy nose gives way to cherry and mulberry fruits on the palate, maturation in American oak gives this wine a complex blend of caramelised vanilla and rustic charm with well balanced acidity on the finish.
