Chateau Beaumont Haut-Medoc 2016

In stock

A full-bodied yet elegant Bordeaux.
The history of Cheteau Beaumont dates back to the late 18th Centruy. In 1986, it was acquired by the current owners, Societe Grands Millesimes de France, who also preside over the great Chateau Beychevelle in St Julian. The vineyards are planted on deep gravelly soils in the Haut-Medoc between Margaux and St Julien. Predominately Cabernet Sauvignon, the wines are characterised by their charm, silky texture and reliable, text-book Bordeaux flavours. The estate has 114 hectares under vine, planted with 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot. Production at Chateau Beaumont is 480,000 bottles which are aged in 30% new barrels for 14 months. This full-bodied yet elegant wine makes an excellent companion for red meat, poultry, and cheese.
