Chateau L’Ermite d’Auzan Rose from Costiere de Nimes is brightly salmon pink with an explosion of fruit on the nose, and it is rounded with a well-balanced harmony of spices and fruits on the palate. It is a meaty, rich and appealing rosé with cranberry flavours throughout and a balancing richness of fruit: a great food wine. The vines are on average 25 years old with yields of 50hl/ha grown in the Durance River Valley which predates the Rhône. The grapes are cooled on reception prior to being destemmed and the free run juice is again cooled before fermentation at 18ºC then aged on its lees for 3 months.
