Bubbles Galore
Nothing says 'party' like a glass of fizz or two but knowing where to start can be intimidating and often we end up sticking to the our old reliable. Our Wine Buyer Patrick Sewell has broken down some of the best fizz around to compile his favourites. Know your Champagne from your Crémant this year!
English Sparkling
In recent years, more and more English wine producers have appeared as the climate here is recognised for the quality grapes it can produce and as such, we are proud to say that we have a wide variety of English wines available, including a significant range of Norfolk bubbles! Look out for Winbirri, Chet Valley and Flint Vineyard if you want local sparkling wine.
Champagne
Often thought of as the crème de la crème of the wine world but how did that come to be? The production style for Champagne is lengthy and complex, adhering to strict rules to ensure it qualifies. All Champagne is aged for at least 12 months and a further 3 in the bottle, with many producers going way beyond this.
Prosecco
An increasingly popular alternative to Champagne, prosecco is a great alternative packed full of flavour and those all-important bubbles. Lighter and less intense that Champagne, Prosecco is also a little lighter on the purse strings.
