An Italian Christmas classic with rich and zesty limoncello.
The Pandoro is a Veronese Christmas cake which is said to be inspired by the French brioche. Made from butter, flour, milk, yeast but especially eggs, it is thanks to them that it has this beautiful golden yellow colour. Legend has it that the name comes from a boy's cry of astonishment at the sight of this golden-coloured cake - "pan de oro"! It contains a greedy heart of delicious limoncello cream, an Italian lemon liqueur.
