Herbes de Provence is a herbal mix of floral, sweet Provençal herbs originating from the South of France. The mix includes thyme, fennel, savory, marjoram, rosemary and lavender. The blend is used abundantly in local Mediterranean cuisine and is featured in Nigella Lawsons 2004 Feast Cookbook as ‘Lavender Herb Mix’. This French herb blend is a great way to get the sunny flavours of France in your kitchen. Herbes de Provence is great for vegetable dishes like ratatouille that use aubergine and courgette.
