Pretty yellow straw colour with soft green reflections. On the nose, the wine is fresh and fruity with notes of zesty lemon peel, grapefruit, gooseberry, and pineapple, with a hint of that typical herb quality (think thyme, and a tiny touch of mint). On the palate it’s crisp and refreshing with a medium to full body followed by plenty more flavours of tropical fruits, and lemon zest, with subtle salinity and an impressively long, tangy mineral finish. This aromatic wine would be perfect for most salads or tomato dishes, or asparagus when in season, or pea risotto. Isabel Estate suggests this wine goes extremely well alongside whole barbecued fish or freshly steamed mussels.
