Just like in the game show, it’s best to appoint a host to ensure players have fair chances of winning. Rules Of Play Say what you see in this fast-paced family card game based on the hit TV show. Go head to head with your opponents to see who will be crowned Catch Phrase champion! Before You Play Decide at the start of the game how many rounds you will play. The game requires at least 2 players and, although not essential, it's easier to have a host to ensure that no one gets an unfair advantage. Separate the Catch Phrase and bonus Catch Phrase cards into two piles face up. Add a cover card to the top of both piles. Contents 60 Catch Phrase Cards. 17 Bonus Catch Phrase Cards. 2 Cover Cards. 1 Buzzer Card. 1 Rules Card. Playing The Game The host reveals the first Catch Phrase card to the players. The first player to reach the buzzer card can guess the Catchphrase. (If more than one player hits the buzzer card, the host will decide who's the fastest). If the player answers correctly, they win the card and the cash value written on it, keeping the card in front of them until the end of the game for scoring. If the player gives an incorrect answer for a regular Catch Phrase, they are frozen out and the other players are given an opportunity to answer by reaching for the buzzer. If the next player guesses incorrectly, they are also frozen out. If none of the players can correctly identify the Catch Phrase in their first guess, play is opened up to all players to reach for the buzzer card and have another guess. The successful player wins the money and gets the opportunity to play for the Bonus Catch Phrase. For correctly answering, the host will reveal one segment of the Bonus Catch Phrase by sliding down the cover card to the first marker on the side of the card, and the successful player will have one opportunity to guess. If unsuccessful, the Bonus Card remains in play, but no further guesses can be made. Regular play resumes and another Catch Phrase card is revealed. Play continues in this way until the Bonus Catch Phrase is completely revealed. Once the Bonus Phrase is guessed correctly, another one will be introduced and play can continue.
