A velvety wine with great complexity…
A richer Chianti with ripe concentrated flavours made from 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and 5% Cabernet. The grapes come from mature, low-yielding vineyards. The wine is matured in French oak barriques for 6 months and then in large oak barrels for a further 9 months; this combination of modern and traditional ageing provides a balanced structure showing both fruit and notes of oak. Enticingly sweet, ripe fruit on the nose; the palate shows concentrated black cherries with rich, almost opulent tannins. A velvety wine with great complexity.
