Born in the Barossa Valley, Simon Hackett grew up in a family resonating in agricultural history, the family home was situated next to the Saltram Winery at Angaston. Starting in the wine trade at the age of 18, Simon established his own boutique winery in 1984, on a hill overlooking the beautiful McLaren Vale, producing a range of rich, bold, innovative wines. The Special Reserve Shiraz is dry and full bodied, rich with aromas of spicy white pepper cherry , followed up with ripe, juicy red and black berry fruits on the palate. A perfect match with red meat dishes or a Sunday roast.
