The Château De La Dauphine is a blend of approx. Merlot 85% and Cabernet Franc 15%. They use a double sorting table after harvesting, one before and after de-stemming, the grapes are fed into tanks by gravity. Fermentation is at 26°C. The aging of individual batches in oak for 12 months with 30% new barrels. The 2020 de la Dauphine is deep purple black in colour and opens with expressive notes of baked blackberries, plums and hints of eucalyptus, tar and dusty earth. The full palate is rich and decadent with spice, black fruit, ample freshness and a velvety texture, ending in a long and luscious finish.
